Alabama

University of Florida
School policy. The university’s chief information officer, Elias G. Eldayari, sent a message to students. Faculty and staff discouraging TikTok use and recommending removing . Georgia

University System of Georgia
School policy: In a. Iowa
State policy: Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has banned. TikTok on state-owned devices . And banned state agencies from “subscribing to or owning a . TikTok account,” according to a Dec. 13 press release.

Iowa Public University

montana
State policy: Montana Governor Greg Gianforte banned the use of. TikTok on state equipment on December 16, and on January 3 requested the state’s Board of Regents to block . TikTok from Montana University System (MUS) networks.

Montana University System
School policy: MUS, comprised of 16 different post-secondary institutions, must remove . TikTok from university devices and block the app from the system’s network. Oklahoma
State policy: Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt on December 8 banned state agencies . Employees and contractors from accessing TikTok on government-issued devices and networks.

Northeastern State University
School Policy: Staff, departments, and student organizations were instructed to delete . The university network or through a university-owned computer or managed device.”

Oklahoma State University
School policy. TikTok is blocked from university networks and school-issued devices. The university said in an emailed statement.

Date announced: 21 December.

University of Oklahoma
School Policy: TikTok is prohibited from university-owned devices and networks. University-administered TikTok accounts must be deleted and replaced with alternative social media profiles.

Date announced: 20 December.

South Dakota
State policy. Governor Christie Noem banned the use of TikTok by state agencies . Employees and contractors . Using state-issued devices on November 29.

South Dakota University System
School policy. The South Dakota Board of Regents, which governs six universities, including . Black Hills State University. Or access TikTok on university devices

In a Dec. 22 email statement to.  a spokesperson for the South Dakota Board of Regents said. The ban does not affect students and student organizations on campus.”

Texas
State policy: Gov. Greg. Abbott on Dec. 7 banned state employees from downloading or accessing. TikTok on government-issued devices, with exceptions for law enforcement agencies.

Texas A&M University
School policy: According to . Texas A&M’s student paper, employees were ordered on Dec. 15 to remove the app from university devices. Stop posting on university. TikTok accounts and remove links to TikTok on the university’s website.

On Tuesday, the university blocked TikTok from its campus network.

Kelly Brown. Texas A&M’s associate vice president of marketing and communications. Said in an email that “students, faculty, staff and visitors cannot use the app if they are connected to an A&M network.”

A spokeswoman for the . Texas A&M University System said the directive applies to all 11 universities in the system.

School policy. On December 16, university officials announced. That TikTok would be banned on state-issued devices. On Tuesday, the university announced that the app would be blocked from campus Wi-Fi.

University of Houston System
School policy. University officials have banned students, faculty and staff from downloading or using . TikTok on government-issued devices across the system’s four schools.
