Shashi Tharoor Schools “Hindi Rashtravadis” Over Government Website Gaffe

New Delhi: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor today shared. Apicture of a poll conducted by. Agovernment website that apparently misspelled the names of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The poll conducted on mygov.in  asked  users to vote. For their favorite tableau in this year’s Republic Day parade.

Sharing an alleged screenshot of the vote, Mr tweeted. We all South Indians would be grateful if the Hindi statists running on http://MyGov. In could please take the trouble to know the names of our states. Please!? (sic).”

In the screenshot, Kerala is spelled as Kerela, while Tamil Nadu is spelled as Tamil Tharoor  Naidu.

The website currently has the correct spellings for both states.

Within minutes of sharing, the Thiruvananthapuram MP’s tweet went viral. And has already been viewed by more than 110 thousand users.

The government Tharoor launched MyGov in 2014 to increase. Citizen participation in the country’s governance.

Today marks the official end of the Republic Day celebrations. With the Beating Tharoor the Retreat event organized at Delhi’s Vijay Chowk.
