In the wake of some media reports about littering in Vande Bharat trains by passengers, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnab. has directed officials concerned to change the cleanliness practices in these trains.

The minister stressed on adopting the cleanliness procedures practiced in flights. In this process, a person will move a garbage collection bag across the coach and ask the passengers to place the garbage in the bag.
Mr. Vaishnav said in a tweet that the cleaning system has been changed in the Vande Bharat trains. and sought the public’s cooperation to maintain cleanliness in the trains.
“#Bandebharat train cleaning system has changed. Your cooperation is expected,” he said.
Some internet users urged the minister to take swift action in this regard.
