Indian-American Girl In “World’s Brightest” Students List, Scored Highest

WASHINGTON: Indian-American schoolgirl Natasha Periyanayagam has been named among the “World’s Brightest” students for the second year in a row by the US-based Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, based on above-grade-level test results of over 15,000 students. Across 76 countries.

Periyanagam, 13, is a student at Florence M. Gaudiner Middle School in New Jersey.

He also took the Johns Hopkins  students  Center for Talented Youth (CTY) test in the spring of 2021, when he was a Grade 5 student.

Her results in the verbal and quantitative sections equated to the 90th percentile of advanced grade 8 performance, which pushed her to the honor roll that year. This year, he was honored for his exceptional performance on the SAT, ACT, School.
