TRENTON, N.J. (AP) – Gas prices have dropped in New Jersey and across the country. As cold weather descends on parts of the country after an unusually warm January.
AAA Mid-Atlantic said the average price of a gallon of regular. Gas in New Jersey on Friday was $3.42, down three cents from last week. Drivers now were paying an average of $3.44 per gallon a year earlier. The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.49, down a penny from last week Drivers. At this point were paying an average of $3.41 per gallon a year ago.
Analysts say seasonal driving patterns could reassert. Themselves as winter conditions return in February. And prices could fall further if demand doesn’t pick up and crude prices stay below $80 a barrel.
