Speaking to social media, Elon Musk announced Wednesday that the new Twitter policy will not only follow science, but also question science.
“The new Twitter policy is to follow science, which includes rational questions of science,” Musk tweeted.
“Anyone who says they doubt the science they criticize cannot be considered a scientist.” Musk said in a follow-up tweet to his initial policy statement.
Further details of the plan have not yet been released.
Since Elon Musk took over as CEO of Twitter, he has been under the spotlight for his social media presence.
The Twitter CEO finally spoke about his promised resignation from his post after Monday’s vote. Taking to the microblogging site, Elon Musk tweeted, “I’ll step down as CEO if anyone thinks they’re stupid enough to take the job!”
The multi-billionaire added that subsequently, he will only run the ‘software and server team’.

Within minutes of Musk’s cryptic tweet, asking users if he would step down as head of the social media platform. And promising to abide by the results, ‘yes’ votes began to surge, reaching 57.5 percent.
In response, Musk said, “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, and you may get it.”
The poll comes after Twitter announced Sunday that it would ban accounts used to promote other accounts. On certain social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Mastodon.
Furthermore, Twitter said it still allows cross-posting from any social media platform. “Posting links or usernames on social media platforms not listed above is also not a violation of this policy.”
The change in Twitter’s rules comes at a time when Musk has faced some criticism for making major policy changes on the platform.
